Day 2 in Thessaloniki has come to a close. The day looked a little different as we attended the first day of the swim meet that brought us here. We had some time in between sessions so we explored the markets and took in the city on a rainy day.

We visited the brand new Agia Sophia Metro station. During construction of this station, they unearthed Byzantine Era ruins, preserved the ruins, and built the station around them! Amazing!

Day 1 in Thessaloniki has come to a close! What a day it was! We had the best day exploring the beautiful churches, ancient architecture, and ruins that date back to the Roman & Ottoman Empires! We’ve had such good food and the people here are equally amazing!
