In August 2026, pending home sales increased by 0.3% month over month. They decreased by 4.7% and 2.2% year over year.

Month over month pending home sales were seen to increase in the South and West, while declining in the Northeast and Midwest. Year over year pending sells fell across all four major U.S. regions.
