🌤 Welcome Back to Transylvania County! 🌤
After Hurricane Helene, we’re thrilled to welcome our visitors back with open arms! While our beloved parks, including Pisgah National Forest, DuPont State Forest, and Gorges State Park, remain closed, our vibrant local businesses are open and ready to serve you! 💪
Whether you’re visiting our great retailers, enjoying delicious restaurants, or discovering new outdoor attractions, there’s something for everyone. Our businesses need your support more than ever during this peak leaf season and on the backside of Helene. If you can’t visit now, consider purchasing gift cards, shopping online, or booking a future stay. You can also contribute to the Transylvania Tomorrow Small Business Emergency Relief Fund.
While you explore the charm of Transylvania County, please note that repairs are still underway in some areas, which may require detours and a bit of patience. Protect our service workers by proceeding with caution. Additionally, let’s also keep our neighbors in mind who are still in the midst of recovery.
*As of today, Nantahala National Forest, including Upper Whitewater Falls in the Lake Toxaway area is open. Bracken Preserve and the Estatoe Trail (hike/bike path) in Brevard are open as well!*
We look forward to welcoming you safely back to Transylvania County.
