Non ACA members: $40includes insurance and entry fee. ACA Members: $30 includes insurance entry fee (must include ACA number). Refunds will be granted for racers who cannot attend due to date change or cancelation. This year's race will be a pure time tria

l event. The start location is TBD based on water levels and racers will finish after Toaster Falls. Each racer is entitled to two attempts at the course per class, recording their fastest of the two times. Competitors will be in one class:
Creek Boat (premier class): 7'1" - 9'6"

The "New Haven Ledgend" will be the fastest Creek Boat competitor.

We are a go for this Saturday, April 4! Flows and temps look promising. Registration closes at 9:30 morning of, followed by a mandatory racer meeting at 9:45. Race starts at 10. First 30 people to register get an event mug.

**A few reminders for race day: Do not park at the church or on pavement. Make sure your tires are completely off the asphalt. Racers are expected to set safety when not racing. This is a grassroots event and we need racers to ensure it is a safe and fun event.

The New Haven Race is just about here and we want to give a huge shout out to NRS for sponsoring the event! There will be two Gore-Tex Pro Dry Suits raffled off and winners will get to choose the size/color. NRS has been a long time sponsor and a huge part of what has made this event happen over the years. We are a little late with the recap, but we wanted to send a quick thank you to all who came out and took on the 2024 New Haven Ledges Race. Water was high, nerves were high, and so we
applaud everyone who decided to suit up and participate, as well as those who decided to wait until next year. Both can be tough decisions to make.

In the end, we had 30 racers put down some impressive laps. You all did a fantastic job of ensuring safety and supporting each other on the river. This event would not be the success it is without everybody pitching in.

This year, Bob Frederick became the first boater to go back-to-back, following up last year’s win with another top finish and a final time of 2:21. Julian Diamond finished only three seconds behind to take 2nd, while Mike Mainer and Justin Schmaleale tied for 3rd. The champion of the women’s class was Ellie Friedmann with two impressive laps.

We also have to give a huge shout out to our sponsors who came through with some amazing prizes this year. Outdoor New England - ONE provided incredible 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place prizes including a brand new Jackson Gnarvana, Astral Rescue Vest, and IR sprayskirt. NRS also showed up big with a brand new Gore-Tex Drysuit going to the female champion, and another being raffled off. We also had support from Umiak Outdoor Outfitters Immersion ResearchWerner Paddles. These are great companies; they support these events and the community, so be sure to support them.
