Cruise Planners is More Than Just Cruises!

I’m working on a Galápagos adventure, a couple of very different African safaris, a custom Alaska land journey, an Elbe River cruise, and a custom trip through Italy.

Different destinations. Different styles of travel. And very different travelers.

That’s one of my favorite parts of what I do. I’m not here simply to book a trip—I help match my clients with the experience that fits them, whether that means watching wildlife in the Galápagos, heading out on safari, exploring Alaska by land, sailing through Europe on a river cruise, or piecing together a personalized journey through Italy.

So yes, I plan cruises. But I also plan safaris, river cruises, expedition adventures, escorted tours, rail journeys, and customized independent travel around the world.

What if the secret to a great Scotland adventure is seeing LESS of Scotland?

With less than a week for our first visit, we knew we couldn’t possibly see it all—so we didn’t try. Instead, we slowed down and immersed ourselves in a few special places.

We experienced whisky and island life on Islay, explored the Inner Hebrides with wonderful local guides, wandered through the fabulous chaos of Edinburgh during the Fringe Festival, and finished with a bucket-list night at the Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo.

Twenty-five years ago today, our world changed forever.

On this 25th anniversary of September 11, we remember the nearly 3,000 lives lost, the families whose lives were forever changed, and all the heroes of that day—the firefighters, police officers, first responders, service members, ordinary citizens, and countless others who ran toward danger, reached out a hand, offered comfort, and helped complete strangers simply because they needed help.

I also remember what came afterward. In the midst of unimaginable grief, we were reminded of the very best of humanity. People looked out for one another. Neighbors became friends. Strangers became helpers. Differences seemed less important. We were reminded just how much we have in common.

How wonderful it would be if it didn't take a terrorist attack, a natural disaster, or another tragedy for us to remember and relish each other's humanity.

My wish on this anniversary is that we carry that lesson forward—not just today, and not just when tragedy brings us together, but every day. That we choose kindness. That we give each other grace. That we help when we can. That we see the person before the differences between us.

May we never forget those we lost, always honor the heroes who stepped forward, and never forget how powerful we can be when we show up for one another.

Never forget. And never stop choosing humanity.
