Our research team has compiled hundreds of fall foliage reports to provide you with the most accurate dates for witnessing the peak color change along the Talimena Scenic Drive. If you are seeking a scenic driving experience, consider exploring the Talimena National Scenic Byway in southeastern Oklahoma this autumn. This picturesque 54-mile route winds its way through the Ouachita Mountains, offering breathtaking views of the changing leaves. With 22 scenic vistas along the way, you can stop and marvel at the majestic scenery of the mountains bathed in a kaleidoscope of golden and crimson hues. This year's peak color change is expected to take place from November 4th through the 16th.

Every year we try to give you the best dates for visiting the Talimena drive for the fall color change. I think we've done pretty good so far. This year the research isn't very clear cut, but as of now the information does lean to a late peak color change happening at the beginning of November through the middle of the month.
