Critical wildfire danger this Friday, March 14th. Low humidity, warm temperatures and strong winds in the area will create conditions in which fires may rapidly spread. We are urging everyone to refrain from outdoor burning. Embers from cabin fire pits are of particular concern this Friday. For guests in cabins and cabin cleaners…… don’t dump hot coals from the fire pits into the forest. Hochatown V.F.D responded to two outdoor fires Wednesday. Grass and leaves are dry and readily burn and may get out of hand quickly. CALL 911 to report emergencies, including wildfires.
