It's Wildlife Wednesday! Say hello to Parker, a Barred Owl. They're nocturnal, so even if you don't see them, you'll probably hear them hooting, 'Who cooks for you?' throughout the night. These owls, and many other birds of prey, are natural pest control, helping to regulate rodent populations. But how do owls hunt when they can't see their prey? They use directional hearing: one ear is higher than the other, so when the ring around their face picks up sound, they know exactly where to look.

We recently explored the Hernando Beach Front Porch Art Walk, where local creativity takes center stage along Shoal Line Boulevard on Florida’s Adventure Coast! 🌴

Held on the first Saturday of each month, this community art walk brings together talented local artists and makers showcasing everything from original paintings and photography to handmade jewelry, pottery, coastal creations, and more.

It’s a great way to meet the artists, discover something unique, support local businesses, and enjoy the laid-back atmosphere that makes Hernando Beach so special.
