Enjoy sea kayaking, canoeing, SUP, visits to oyster farms and tasting fresh oysters right after, Malaga Island - Maine interpretive kayak and hike tours, light hiking, lighthouse tours, snowshoeing, bird watching, exploring, or shopping for technical outdoor gear. Forest Bathing aka Mindful Outdoor Experiences are separate events and can be woven into tours by request. Check out our prescheduled tours for those that feel more comfortable joining a group tour. www.amaineguide.com We are Covid-19 certified by the state of Maine. We ask that every participant wear cloth face masks during tours except when eating, maintain social distances, use hand sanitizer as appropriate, and follow Leave No Trace protocols. We offer private in-person workshops and interactive online workshops through Zoom on a specific outdoor topics such as coastal navigation, map & compass, weather for the outdoors person, winter camping, Malaga Island - Maine history and Registered Maine Guide preparation.

Sign up for the next Concealed Carry and Home Defense Fundamentals class. Held in Lisbon Falls, November 5 & 12, 2026 from 5:30 - 8:45pm. at Buck's Guns. $125 for two classroom sessions plus an additional fee for a semi-private two-hour range lesson. Damariscotta Pumpkinfest and Regatta. Damariscotta ME Saturday, Sunday, and Monday October 10 - 12th. Go to Louis Doe Hardware on Friday and Saturday to watch giant pumpkins turn into paddling pumpkin boats or "motorboats"! Saturday afternoon be along Main St. snacking on street vendor food while watching the Parade. Sunday at High Noon (rain or shine or fog) cheer for Team Witches as we paddle our Witches Broom Pumpkin hopefully to glory and not capsize! Then watch the motorboat division capture flags. Wander the streets seeing all the pumpkins that have been transformed into sculptures.

The event is family friendly and FREE!!!!!!

Halfway Rock Lighthouse. It is Halfway between Seguin Light at the mouth of the Kennebec Rivert and Cape Elizabeth Two Lights. It is the outer edge of Casco Bay and has no easy way to land upon the Rock for Lighthouse Personnel. The Coast Guard maintains the red light but repels down from a helicopter..
