Oui, ะดะฐ, sim, si, yes, ja, igen, hai, another one of my hobbies is language. Duolingo, a free language app, helps me with vocabulary, idiosyncrasies, and spyiing out differences in and between a number of languages. I find it fascinating how we communicate according to how we see the world. One day in the next few months I'll share my ideas on this...

My favorite way to pick up languages though, is by being immersed fully by native speakers. There is so much to be learned that can't truly be written. ๐๐ง๐ป๐ฎ๐ฑ๐ฏ๐ฒ๐ฒ๐ซ๐ณ๐ฑ๐น๐ฏ๐ธ๐ช๐ฎ๐ณ๐จ๐ฆ๐ง๐ท๐ฉ๐ช๐ฌ๐ง๐ฌ๐ท๐ฎ๐ช๐ท๐บ๐จ๐ณ๐ฏ๐ต๐บ๐ธ๐
I remember studying French in high school, which thanks to Mrs. Dorn, and Mr. Emanuele, (the latter was a native Italian speaker) I learned the basics of grammar and tons of vocabulary. However, it wasn't until I spent about a month in France with Dear Mami Rots, who spoke not a word of English, that I was forced to dig deeper, and truly use the language. That was around 30 years ago, so clearly my French needs a lot of help! ๐

Are there any other language lovers, aficionados out there? If so, which language(s) are you learning, and what is your favorite thing about learning languages?
