Fall has begun—but in the Smokies, it doesn’t arrive all at once.

It moves through the mountains in waves.

First the highest ridges begin to turn. Then the color works its way down through the valleys, along the creeks, and across the forests surrounding the Retreat—stretching the season all the way into the first week of November.
