1. Sunset at the fire pit
Get the fire going about an hour before the sun drops so you’ve got real coals by the time the sky turns. The ridges go blue, the valley fills with fog, and nobody needs to say much of anything.
2. Coffee on the porch before the world wakes up
The fog sits low in the valley at first light and burns off over the course of an hour. Bring the mug outside, sit down, and watch it happen instead of scrolling.
3. A drive with no destination
Point the car toward the Parkway and pull over whenever something looks good. Half the best overlooks aren’t the ones with signs.
4. A hike that ends at water
Waterfall trails are worth the extra mile because you actually stop when you get there. Pack a snack, find a rock, and sit for twenty minutes before turning around.
5. Cook in and stay put
Hit a grocery store on the way up and skip restaurants entirely. Something slow on the stove, a game on the table, and zero reason to leave the property until checkout.
