✨ WONDER — Day 2: Wonder Through Their Eyes ✨

There’s something pretty amazing about seeing a place you already love through someone else’s eyes. 💙

Maybe you’ve seen the castle a dozen times.

Maybe you already know exactly what happens when the ride turns that corner.

Maybe you know the song, the characters, and where every little surprise is hiding.

But then you watch them experience it for the first time.

Their eyes get huge.
Their mouth drops open.
They grab your hand and say, “Did you SEE that?!” 🥹

And suddenly…you’re seeing it for the first time, too.

That’s one of my favorite things about traveling with my kids. Their wonder has a way of becoming mine.

And years later, I may not remember exactly what we ate that day or how long we waited in line—but I remember their faces.

✨ Sometimes the most magical view isn’t what’s in front of you.

It’s the face of the person standing beside you. 💙

Day 1: Rediscover Wonder ✨

When did we stop being amazed by things?

As kids, wonder came so easily. 💫
A castle really could be magical.
Seeing the ocean for the first time felt enormous.
Meeting a favorite character was the BEST THING EVER.
And going somewhere new felt like the greatest adventure imaginable.

Then we grow up.

We make schedules. We watch budgets. We pack the bags, keep track of everyone, take the pictures, and make sure nobody left their shoes in the hotel room. 😂

Sometimes we get so busy making the memories that we forget to actually experience them.

But one of my favorite things about travel is that it has a way of waking that sense of wonder back up. ✨

Standing somewhere you’ve only ever seen in pictures.

Watching your kids’ faces light up.

Seeing a breathtaking sunset over the ocean.

Walking down Main Street and catching that first glimpse of the castle. 🏰

For just a moment, you aren’t thinking about the to-do list waiting at home.

You’re simply amazed.

💙 Maybe we don’t outgrow wonder. Maybe we just need to make room for it again.

The Joy of What I Get to Do

I’ll let you in on a little secret:

I get ridiculously excited about YOUR vacations. 😂❤️

When you message me and say, “We’re thinking about Disney…”

When I find the resort that fits your family.

When a new promotion drops and I realize I can save you money.

When I wake up ridiculously early to grab that dining reservation you’ve been hoping for.

When I get the message saying, “WE’RE BOOKED!”

And especially when the pictures start coming in from your trip…

There is so much JOY in this job.

Because I’m not really planning hotel rooms and park tickets.

I’m helping families celebrate birthdays.

Anniversaries.

First visits.

Graduations.

Family reunions.

“Just because” trips.

And sometimes trips they’ve been dreaming about for YEARS.

Two years into this little adventure, I still can’t believe people trust me with something as precious as their family vacations. ❤️

So to every family who has allowed me to play even a tiny part in your memories:

Thank you for letting me share in your joy.

And to the family who’s still saying, “Someday…”

Maybe it’s time to start dreaming. ✨

✨ CHOOSING JOY — Day 4 ✨
The Joy of Looking Back

Here’s something I love about vacations:

You get to experience them more than once.

First, you dream about them.

Then, you live them.

And afterward?

You get to remember them. ❤️

A photo pops up in your memories and suddenly you’re right back there.

You remember how little your kids were.

You remember the laughter.

You remember the exhausted feet. 😂

You remember the meal everyone still talks about, the ride you did three times, the beautiful sunset, or that completely ordinary moment that somehow became extraordinary.

That’s why I’ll always believe travel is about more than spending money on a destination.

You’re investing in stories your family gets to keep.

And there is so much JOY in looking back and saying…

“Remember when we…?” 💕

The Joy of the Unexpected

Sometimes the best vacation memories aren’t the ones you planned.

On my first Disneyland trip, we had an amazing spot for Paint the Night and thought we’d found the perfect place to watch Wondrous Journeys afterward.

Except…we hadn’t. 😂

We were too close to the castle—the fireworks “danger zone”—and Cast Members had to funnel us away.

I was SO disappointed.

We ended up in a little courtyard near the Royal Theatre and Royal Hall. We couldn’t really see the projections, and it definitely wasn’t what we’d planned.

But you know what?

We had that beautiful little courtyard practically to ourselves while the fireworks exploded overhead. 🎆

It was quiet. Peaceful. Magical.

And it became one of my favorite memories from the entire trip.

Sometimes we get so focused on making a vacation “perfect” that we miss the joy hiding inside the unexpected.

The rainstorm.
The changed plan.
The wrong turn.
The attraction that goes down.

Sometimes Plan B becomes the story you tell for years. 💕

✨ CHOOSING JOY — Day 2 ✨
The Joy of Being Together

The castle is beautiful. The rides are amazing. The food is delicious.

But years from now, those probably won’t be the things you treasure most.

It’ll be the way your child grabbed your hand when they saw their favorite character.

The ridiculous thing Dad said in line that made everyone laugh.

The sibling who was finally tall enough to ride.

The grandparents watching their grandchildren experience the magic.

The quiet conversation walking back to the hotel after a VERY long day. 💕

Travel gives us something incredibly valuable: time together.

Away from chores. Away from work. Away from the normal routine.

Just time to make memories with the people we love.

And THAT is one of the greatest joys of travel. ❤️
