2021 Buffalo Public Augmented Art Tour
Madd Grafix is proposing that they will be selecting 10 to 20 murals throughout
Buffalo, NY, and creating an online platform you can access through social media
pages that would be a part of Buffalo Public Augmented Art. These pages would
help you to locate murals around Buffalo, in which when a photo is taken while
using the ARTIVIE app, many of thes
e murals will be turned into augmented art. Madd Grafix says the goal is to have every mural in Buffalo augmented by the end
of summer. The ARTIVIE app is free to download, and is compatible with all smart
phone technology. The 2021 Buffalo Public Augmented Art Tour provides all the fun of a scavenger
hunt, and will prove to be an excellent reason for the local Buffalo community to
get out and about for spring, while enjoying local art and music, and exploring
local small businesses in the area. Should you happen upon one of these murals and check into the ARTIVIE app,
there’s a good chance that it may trigger a video for your viewing pleasure. In that
video, it will animate the public art, which will then bring a new layer to the
artist’s work. The video will also be accompanied by a local musician in Buffalo’s
work. In this way, they can encourage people to support local musicians and
artists in the area. Not to mention, many of these murals will be connected to
small businesses in Buffalo. At the end of many these videos, it will give you
instructions on how to get a coupon, discount, or a special thank you of some kind
from a local small business, that will drive your curiosity to go into these small
businesses and experience them for yourself. Participants who are involved will also receive art prints from local artists, many
of them being signed by the artist themselves. The way they will receive them,
will be through checking in on the social media pages provided, which will then
tell them where to go to pick up their print. Whether it be the Tuk Talks page, or
a separate page they create specifically for this purpose. Using this platform, they
will be able to drive people to business websites, business social media accounts,
and the actual business itself. This event is about getting people out there and involved with local art, music, and small businesses in the area.
