✨Crisp mountain air, 🍂 golden aspens and bugling elk✨

We have one spot left on our women’s camping trip in Colorado. We’ll be driving to our campsites, day hiking, wildlife viewing and taking in the gorgeous aspens this fall.

🍁Pro-tip: If you are a fall loving lady, you can maximize the foliage by experiencing Colorado in September and then head to New York and New England in October for a totally different leaf peepin’ experience! It’s all about timing 😉

High Peaks of the Adirondacks in New York did not disappoint! We warmed up with a hike up Mt.Jo with a gorgeous view of Heart Lake with an evening herping walk to learn about the local amphibians, before summiting Wright Peak.

These awesome women killed it for their first 46er! For those who aren’t familiar with the Adirondacks, these mountains are no joke…lots of rocks, mud, & rock scrambles but the views and the sense of accomplishment can’t be beat!

You don’t have to have experience to join our trips…just a willingness to take a chance and step out of your comfort zone. It’s an opportunity to trust yourself and know that you will be guided and supported every step of the way.

I’m so proud of these women who conquered their very first 46er!! We had a full day hiking Wright, but they did it!

Oh and one was told “Take the easy route” for our other hike and I will proudly tell you, she did no such thing and then did this bad boy the next day 😍

You are so much more capable than you give yourself credit for.

In July 2024, a massive wildlife ripped through Jasper National Park. Over 32,000 hectares were burned.

Yet through this process, there has been incredible ecological regeneration. Species like the Wood Lily (orange flowers) and fireweed thrive after fires. Fire moss carpeted many areas of the forest floor and the sheer number of wildflower species was amazing to see.

The Valley of the Five Lakes was a hauntingly somber experience as we witnessed the full cycle of life and death. The open canopy also allowed for views of the beautiful lakes, previously hidden. A lovely reminder that even in the challenging moments (ecologically or in life) that beauty can be found amongst the ashes.

Stanley Glacier at Kootenay National Park 🏔️

11.5 km/7 miles with 2,000 ft of elevation gain that takes you through stunning views with wildflowers like paintbrushes, columbines and vetch (smells heavenly) until you get to a boulder field filled with 505 million year old fossils from the Cambrian era in the Burgess Shale. Remember, take 📷 and don’t put those rocks in your pocks!

Hostel Takeover

Imagine getting back to your hostel only to come face to face with this guy. We had to wait for awhile before he headed off into the forest. This hostel hosts guests from all over the world and the manager had to get really creative gesturing to folks who spoke a different language that he was near them and dangerous 😂☠️
