🥾All-Women’s ADK Trip July 9-12th.

You will NOT be backpacking or carrying your camping gear.

We’ll be staying at Heart Lake Loj Wilderness Campground as a base camp and day hiking Algonquin and Wright (two 46ers) with an insured NY state DEC guide. We’ll also do some easier warmup hikes and a “herping walk” to explore the local ecosystems. Come hang with some cool women and let us handle the planning, cooking, cleaning and prep!

All meals and trail snacks are included.

No 🏕️ no problem, we’ve got gear at our lending library and we’ll teach you how to use it!

Springs Ephemeral season is in full force here in WNY🌼. Trillium, Trout Lily, Mayapples and Ramps.

I reflect on Braiding Sweetgrass by Robin Wall Kimmemer and spring brings a sense of gratitude for the renewal of the land, and the gifts it provides 💜.

Incredible time on our “moosin” trip to Algonquin Provincial Park in Ontario! We saw FIVE moose, a fox, beaver, likely a golden eagle, loons and a variety of other small critters.

This is one of our trips that welcomes children (but welcome to all women whether you have kiddos or not) and it added a fun dynamic.

We’ll be heading back April 2027! Join us to see some abundant wildlife, meet some awesome folks and kick off the camping (yurts) season next year!

⛑️ What a fantastic weekend finishing up our Wilderness First Responder training. Great group of folks all around and a fantastic, continuously evolving curriculum that has expanded so much (WFR and WFA) to really focus more and more on women. There is a reason, I keep going back over and over again.

All three Wandering Wild trip leaders were at the training so that we are up to date and ready to work as a team on any expedition we lead. 💪🏼

Come hang out May 30th at 11 am for a hands-on workshop designed to help you feel more prepared and confident on the trail. We’ll be serving light snacks and coffee while we walk through the 10 essentials and share real-life safety tips for hiking as a woman.

Each woman will leave with her own set of trail ready essentials including a high quality wilderness first aid kit, fire starter, water filter, emergency shelter, headlamp, sun protection, compass, knife and some of our favorite trail snacks!

Whether you are brand new to hiking or just want to feel more self-reliant out there, this is a space to learn, ask questions and connect.

Come gain knowledge, snag some great gear, snacks and meet new trail friends!

⛑️ Wilderness First Responder training this past weekend with

All three of our trip leaders are doing the re-certification and training together. Wilderness First Aid is something that is constantly evolving and should be practiced+reviewed frequently as industry standards change.

Grateful for the awesome group of instructors and volunteers involved in the entire Wilderness First Aid/Responder community here ♥️.

Have you spotted these social and curious marmots on Hurricane Ridge?

The Olvmpic Marmot is endemic to ONP, meaning they aren’t found anywhere else in the world!

They are a keystone species as their burrowing is crucial for maintaining the health of alpine and subalpine meadows.

🗺️We’ll be heading to Olympic National Park this June for an all-women’s camping trip to see the incredible biodiversity found in this park.

📌Want to learn more about the biodiversity of Olympic National Park and how you can explore incredible ecosystems while having safety and community with other women? Sign up to receive our monthly newsletter!
