Armenian Cowboys🤠 These two men have become some of my closest friends in the world.

As I grow older, I’ve began to realize how the time we have on this Earth is so short & fragile. The years keep slipping by. Faster each year. And I, am often guilty of letting the chaos of life/work keep me from sustaining the most valuable friendships and relationships in the world. Ara & Z always always have a smile on their faces. They’re both relentlessly positive and grateful. I admire, respect, and truly look up to these two.

This goliath knew how to pull!!! Endurance fish fighting for true dinosaurs. and I went out with Joe Weisner from Jones Sport Fishing and it did not disappoint!

Well! Just finished up the 2025 Guide Season! Now we’re deep cleaning the lodge in preparation for next year. I’m also feeling reminiscent and very grateful. This year had trials and tribulations. It pushed me to be a better man and grow as a person.

Christie Cowan has been the greatest blessing of my life. For over a year now we have been living one nonstop fishing trip.

In April, she quit her full time job and joined our ambitions and passion for flyfishing to run a whole new flyfishing lodge and experience. And… She kicked ass. A 6 month guide season can be daunting but with her help, we managed to be successful and because of her relentless support, I was able to have a 90% Success Rate for my anglers/guests this Season that booked our Mastery Guide Trips. Which means that nearly everyone caught a Trophy Brown Trout, Personal Best, or Fish of a Lifetime.

I couldn’t have done it without the love and commitment of Christie. Can’t wait for 2026 & beyond🤘🏼🍻

This was a memory that will stick with me as long as I live. Particularly because of the series of events that led up to this fish and how hard JJ & Jared worked for both of their giant browns.

In life, we have random, unexpected experiences that help shape who we are. The universe taught me just how important it is to never quit during these 3 specific nights. This father & son trip was truly one of those life changing experiences.

At 16 years old, JJ was relatively new to fly fishing, but I could see that he had the right mechanics to become a good caster. However, throwing 8wt fly rods with large mouse flies can be challenging. He just kept sticking with it and trying his best. We had really high water, which means casting accurately and quickly can be a huge advantage as we’re hunting our mouse flies tight to the bank over and over.

The last night of their 3-night trip, the fishing was really slow. We were grinding for the very few eats we had. Then Jared broke the ice and caught a 29”, 10.2-pound buck.

Meanwhile, the clock tick down as sunrise approaches. JJ pulled everything he had into the last part of the night. His casting had become phenomenal. His line management, his retrieve, his strip set… he just needed a good fish to strike…

Boom. He sticks this giant at 3:45am.
JJ earned every bit of this mega buck Brown Trout.

Another epic trip with Doug Deason. One of the greatest pleasures of my guiding career and starting my own business has been crossing paths with Doug and the memorable trophy fishing that followed.

Doug earned every bit of this last trip. He hit a major milestone by mousing up a 31” buck brown trout, one of two browns over 10 pounds from this run. He also stuck multiple awesome fish on dries. Doug has been one of my biggest supporters and believes in me every step of the way. I truly admire his dedication to chasing big fish in wild places. Beyond working hard to achieve great things, this man always seems to have a smile on his face and radiates optimism. Every trip with Doug leaves me feeling edified and enlightened.

What began as a routine guide trip many years ago has evolved into a lifelong friendship, and I’m grateful for every mile of it!

Can’t wait to see what kind of monsters he teases to the surface this August. See you soon my brother!🙏🏼

•DRYFLY/MOUSING COMBO•

What a trip! Julian, Sky, Bode, & Brad came down for 4 days & nights of trophy mouse fishing + dry fly action. Each day had its fill of awesome Mayfly fishing for big browns.

During night mousing Julian ended up with a 32” 14.1lb buck as the biggest of the trip. He also landed a 30” and 25”.

Bode tricked 2 browns between 26 and 27 inches plus got a true fish of a lifetime — a 30” monster buck.

Brad got his biggest brown ever, a 25.5”er. And Sky stuck with it and capped off trip, bottom of the 9th with a 26.5” awesome brown.

These Dryfly/TrophyMousing Combo trips are a ton of fun!

I have ONE COMBO TRIP left for JULY 2025. I’m taking bookings for 2026 Dry/Mouse combos as well in April, May, June, and July of next year.
