Mark your calendars! Big Boy No. 4014, the world's largest operating steam locomotive, will be passing through Burleson on Wednesday, Oct. 9, at approximately 4 p.m. on its journey north to Fort Worth.

Afterwards, you can see this legendary locomotive up close! Big Boy will arrive in Fort Worth on Wednesday, Oct. 9, and will be on display at 275 W. Lancaster Ave. with free admission:
- Thursday, Oct. 10, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
- Friday, Oct. 11, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

This marvel of engineering, delivered to Union Pacific in 1941, was retired after 20 years of service and over 1 million miles. After a multi-year restoration, it returned to the tracks in 2019, and now you can witness this historic piece of rail history firsthand.
