I say this every single year and I’ll keep saying it — Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, Oogie Boogie Bash, Halloween Horror Nights… these events sell out way earlier than people expect.

If a Halloween trip is on your radar, here’s what needs to get locked down first:

🤍 resort availability
🤍 dining and extras
🤍 the actual dates that work for your family’s schedule

Doesn’t matter if your vibe is cute pumpkins and matching costumes or haunted houses and screaming your way through a scare zone — the families who plan early are the ones who actually get to go.

When you start planning early, you give yourself room to build a better trip in so many ways.

Here’s why early planning helps:

✅ More availability — you usually have more options for resorts, room categories, cruise cabins, and travel dates.

✅ Better flight choices — earlier planning can mean better schedules, more convenient routes, and fewer “we had to take what was left” moments.

✅ More time to pay it off — this is a big one. Booking earlier often means you can spread out payments over time instead of absorbing one big expense all at once.

✅ Less stress — you have more time to think through the details and make decisions carefully instead of feeling rushed.
