Whistling Man Schooner Co. Sailing on Lake Champlain aboard two wooden-rigged sloops: Friend Ship and Wild Rose. Sunset and daytime cruises are two hours & BYO food and drink.

Experienced crew create a safe, relaxed, and entertaining experience and have a wealth of local knowledge. Sunset and daytime cruise options are available for public or private charter mid-May through mid-October. Bookings are accepted online and over the phone year-round. Sailing on Lake Champlain is the perfect way to reconnect with friends, family, and the outdoors. Ideal setting for small parties, memorable family adventures, and other special events like bachelor/bachelorette parties, proposals, and elopements. Also great for a romantic date night! Friend Ship and Wild Rose are classic sailing sloops featuring bronze hardware, intricate rigging, and rich, highly detailed woodwork reminiscent of a time gone by. Lake Champlain is exceptional sailing territory for these historic ships. Our knowledgeable crew members have a wealth knowledge, stories, and legends that make this region so historically unique and interesting.

The newest addition to our Lake Champlain fleet. This boat serves our community in new ways, expanding Whistling Man’s operations in a very exciting direction. Goldenrod is available for:
Private sunset cruises- ideally for couples but can take up to 4 people comfortably.
Learn to sail- we will teach you how to safely and competently sail Goldenrod.
Rentals- once you feel confident behind the tiller Goldenrod is yours to rent on your own.
