Did you know that TWO new murals are gracing buildings in Downtown Burlington, Kansas? 👀

"Welcome to Historic Downtown Burlington" is a beautiful little historic mural by local artist Jim Stukey and can be seen near Hornet Games. It was completed within the last week!

"Lady in Blue" (as I like to call her) is hard to miss, making a bold and beautiful statement on the side of 1856 Parlor. This one is near completion by Kansas muralist Andy Coffman and was commissioned by local business owner Nikki Freeman.

Just one block off HWY 75, these (and many other murals) are easy to catch with a quick drive by when traveling through, or take advantage of public restrooms at the Caboose and several downtown retail businesses and restaurants and make an afternoon of viewing Burlington's many murals!

Coffey County and nearby Arvonia, Kansas have a wealth of Welsh heritage - on display here at the North American Festival of Wales in Springfield, Massachusetts 🐉 Thanks to Susan Atchison and a few other volunteers for representing our region at the festival!

Want to learn more? Arvonia Historic Preservation Society is a great place to start! Their schoolhouse is the most photographed in the state (and maybe the country). It makes a great photo op, along with City of Lebo's downtown mural! ❤️💚
