🗺️ THE TREASURE TRAIL IS BACK! 🗺️

We’re getting ready for the 3rd Annual Burton Treasure Trail — our citywide yard sale!

📅 Saturday, October 3
⏰ Starting at 8 AM
📍 Burton, Texas + surrounding area

The past two years have been SO much fun — neighbors cleaning out closets and garages, shoppers filling their cars with treasures, and some of our local charitable organizations raising money along the way.

And the timing couldn’t be better. 👀
The Treasure Trail is a great way to kick off antique show season! Dealers from all over the country will soon be setting up their booths around our area, and you never know who might be hunting for a few last-minute finds.

So whether you have a garage full of “junk” you’re ready to part with… or you’re the treasure hunter who knows someone else’s trash might be EXACTLY what you’ve been looking for…
It’s a win-win.

🦚 Every small town has its stories. Ours just happens to have feathers.

If you’ve spent any time in Burton, chances are you’ve spotted Percy strutting down a street, hanging out in a tree, window shopping—or simply acting like he owns the place. (And honestly, he kind of does.)

🎉10+ YEARS IN THE MAKING… BURTON IS GETTING A NEW WELCOME!

For more than 10 years, the Burton Chamber of Commerce has been working toward a dream: a beautiful monument sign along Highway 290 that welcomes travelers to Burton and lets them know they’ve arrived somewhere worth discovering.

And that dream is becoming a reality. 🙌

Destination Burton could not be more excited!

This is so much more than a sign. It’s a WELCOME. It’s an invitation to turn off Highway 290, slow down, explore our little town, meet our people, shop our businesses, experience our history—and maybe stay awhile.

We are incredibly grateful to the Burton Chamber of Commerce and everyone who has worked, planned, dreamed and persevered for more than a decade to make this happen.

Destination Burton joins Burton Chamber of Commerce in honoring Carl’s legacy and send our deepest condolences to Rose and the Luning family.

The Burton Chamber of Commerce joins our community in expressing heartfelt condolences following the passing of Carl Luning, respected business owner and visionary behind Neon Moon Coffee. Carl’s dedication to excellence, his commitment to local enterprise, and his unwavering support of Burton made him a valued member of our business community and a trusted friend to many.
Carl exemplified the spirit of service and entrepreneurship. His leadership, kindness, and genuine care for others strengthened the fabric of our town and inspired those who had the privilege of knowing him. His contributions will remain an enduring part of Burton’s story.
We respectfully ask the community to keep his wife, Rose, and their family in your prayers during this difficult time. May they find comfort in the support of friends, neighbors, and all who were touched by Carl’s life and work.

People often ask what makes our little town worth the drive. Yes, we have beautiful countryside, wineries, antiques, historic charm, and unforgettable sunsets. But the real magic is the people.

Here, local business owners genuinely cheer each other on. We celebrate each other’s wins, lend a hand when it’s needed, and believe that when one business succeeds, our entire community benefits.

Today was a perfect example. Amanda Cano, owner of Texas Toast Mobile Bar shared her entrepreneurial journey at 1 Million Cups.

While she was telling her own story, she was also representing something much bigger—the heart of Burton’s business community.

That spirit of collaboration is something visitors can feel. It’s in the warm welcome you’ll receive, the conversations that turn strangers into friends, and the pride we all take in making sure every guest has an incredible experience.
