There is no shortage of fun happening across the grounds today: ⭐ Heritage Park opens today 🍪 Noble County Historical Society Bake Sale at the Log Cabin 🏆 Showman of Showmen - 9:30 a.m. 🍽 Senior Luncheon at the Community Center - 11:30 a.m. 🐄 Beef Obstacle Course - 12:30 p.m. 🚜 Kiddie Pedal Tractor Pull - 3:30 p.m. 🐐 Goat/Lamb Fun Show 🎪 No Limits Show - 7 p.m. 🚛 21st Annual J.R. Brown, Sr. Truck Pull - 7 p.m. 🐎 Junior Fair Fun Horse Show - 7:30 p.m.

Remembering the USS Shenandoah

Today, September 3, marks the 101st anniversary of one of the most significant events in Noble County history, the crash of the U.S. Navy airship USS Shenandoah over Noble County on September 3, 1925. The tragedy captured international attention and forever connected Noble County to a pivotal chapter in aviation history. 

Today, visitors can explore the Shenandoah crash sites and memorials throughout Noble County, where the story of the nation's first American-built rigid airship continues to be preserved and honored. 

As we commemorate the 101st anniversary, we remember the crew members who lost their lives and recognize the resilience of the local residents who responded in the aftermath of the disaster. Their story remains an important part of Noble County's heritage.
