Okay… Virgin Voyages definitely does things differently! 🚢😂

We boarded Brilliant Lady in Seattle for our Alaska cruise, and I started noticing right away that Virgin had taken a lot of the things people find annoying about cruising and said, “What if we just… made this better?”

Later embarkation? Yes.

Go straight to your cabin and drop your carry-on instead of waiting around? Yes.

Muster drill with music, characters, and actual personality instead of standing around listening to instructions? Yep.

An interactive sail-away with the Happenings Cast? Absolutely.

And then we ended our FIRST DAY with a PJ party. 😂

While in Seattle, we needed to escape the smoke from the wildfires, so we boarded the ferry and rode to Bainbridge Island. We walked through the streets of Winslow, a quaint little town, and wandered to the marina and through the shops. We even found one of the wooden trolls.

“I can’t afford to use a travel agent.”

I hear this more than you might think. But here’s something a lot of people don’t realize:

You’re already paying for the travel agent. 😂

Hotels, cruise lines, theme parks, tour companies, and other travel suppliers build commissions into their pricing. If you book directly and do all the research and planning yourself, the supplier keeps that commission.

If you use me, that same commission is paid to me for helping you plan the trip.

So why not let me do the work? 😉

I research. I compare. I know the destinations. I help you make decisions. I keep track of the details. And when something goes sideways, you have someone in your corner.

The only fee you pay me directly is my $200 Professional Design Service fee, and that comes after our initial consultation, once we’ve decided that I’m the right travel advisor for your trip.

Today, we remember those we lost, those who served, and the day that changed us all.

September 11, 2001 changed the way we traveled. Airports changed. Security changed. The simple experience of getting on a plane became something very different.

But one thing didn’t change.

Our desire to go.

We still wanted to see new places, experience different cultures, stand in awe of places we had only dreamed about, and make memories with the people we love.

Travel changed, but our need to explore the world didn’t.

Twenty-five years later, I’m grateful that we still have the opportunity to go, to discover, and to experience this incredible world we share.

One of my favorite easy adventures from Seattle! Take the ferry from Pier 52 a.k.a. Coleman dock across Elliot Bay to Bainbridge Island. The ride is about 35 minutes, and the views are beautiful. ⛴️ An adult walk on ticket is currently just $11.35 save this for your next Seattle trip! 📍

Or you can tell me what you want, and I’ll build it for you.

I’m not just booking a hotel or finding the cheapest flight. I’m looking at the destination, the logistics, the experiences, and your travel style to create a plan that actually fits you.

Are you a Beatles fan? You can stay at a hotel in Seattle, Washington, that is famous for accommodating the Beatles and many other rock bands of the 60s and 70s. We chose to stay at the Edgewater hotel because of its close proximity to all of the tourist attractions without being in the middle of downtown. We enjoyed the quiet atmosphere by the water while being close enough to walk to all of the major attractions. I help my clients pick the perfect hotel to match their travel style when planning their bucket list vacations, and I can help you too!
