36 years ago today, we took this graduation picture… and had absolutely no idea what life would hold for us. ❤️
If I could write a letter to those teenage girls in this photo, I’d say this:
Life is going to be beautiful… and hard.
There will be marriages, kids, careers, heartbreaks, losses, stress, responsibilities, and seasons where life feels overwhelming.
You’ll grow up in ways you can’t even imagine.
But somehow… through all of it… you’ll still have each other.
And years from now, when you finally sneak away on girls’ trips together, something magical will happen.
The stress fades.
The responsibilities pause.
And within minutes, you’ll fall right back into your teenage selves again...laughing until you cry, telling old stories, and picking up exactly where you left off.
Those trips will become more than vacations.
They’ll become reminders of who you’ve always been underneath all the titles and responsibilities.
36 years later… I’m just grateful we’re still doing life together. 🤍
