A special THANK YOU to Dickens Victorian Village of Cambridge and Julie Davey for helping us celebrate our 20th year doing the Christmas Light Show this year. Just check out this banner already hanging at the Dickens Center on Main Street in downtown Cambridge. We have some new, cool additions to the show we can't wait for you to see and new souvenirs at the welcome center. It's going to be a great holiday season again this year!

💜 The Guernsey County Courthouse will be lit in purple this week in recognition of World Elder Abuse Awareness Month.

June is World Elder Abuse Awareness Month, and the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services (ODJFS) and the Ohio Department of Aging (ODA) are encouraging all Ohioans to help protect older adults by learning the signs of elder abuse, neglect, and exploitation, and knowing how to report concerns.

Elder abuse can happen to anyone and often goes unnoticed. By staying informed and speaking up when something seems wrong, we can help ensure the safety, dignity, and well-being of our senior citizens.

If you suspect abuse in a nursing home or assisted living facility, contact ODA’s Office of the State Long-Term Care Ombudsman at 1-800-282-1206 or visit ombudsman.ohio.gov.

Join us in raising awareness and showing support for older adults throughout our community. 💜

The courthouse is bathed in Teal & Blue this month. Teal in support the sextual assault survivors during Sexual Assault Awareness Month. The color is associated with trust, healing and representing a commitment to supporting survivors. Blue is in support of Child Abuse Prevention Month, a time for our community to come together to celebrate the small actions each of us can take that make a big impact on the well-being of our children.

It may be February, but we are still taking down the 2025 show! Special thanks to B&B Body Shop & Towing, Inc for helping us haul our mega tree back to the warehouse today. Harsh winter weather has delayed the light show elves from making much progress in getting the lights down and packed this year. We are already working on nexts years show!
