Are you ready for a celebration weekend?! We're excited about what's happening all over Camden, starting with all the live music you could possibly want, Thursday through Sunday! Friday evening is a chance to learn about the past during another Historic Camden Foundation Folklore Tour. You'll want to beat the heat (and the crowds) Saturday morning at the Kershaw County Master Gardeners annual plant sale and the Kershaw County Farmers Market. Jeep lovers can head up to Beavers Den at Beaver Creek bar and grille for a "topless" fundraising event benefiting the The Big Red Barn Retreat. Then return to Historic Camden Foundation for the main weekend event, the celebration of Evacuation Day and Camden's Road to Liberty, with food, fun, and fireworks! Saturday closes out with the Chi Chi Chapter Omega Psi Phi Fraternity Inc. annual "Boots & Brims" Western Gala (tickets still available). And finish your weekend with the delightful sounds of the Camden Community Concert Band Sunday afternoon.

Or step back in time and learn about "Taverns: The Original Social Network" at Simply Revolutionary Visitor Center. Live music can be found all over town this weekend, as you treat your maternal figure to a meal she doesn't have to cook herself! 😉A trip out to the rodeo might be just her thing, Friday and Saturday night at Antioch Community Center & Outlaw Arena. Or a Historic Camden Foundation "Night at the Tavern" on Friday. Up and at 'em early Saturday morning for some fresh local goodness at the Kershaw County Farmers Market, before you splurge on something special at Ella’s Boutique's Mother's Day Celebration, or head up to Rectory Square for the 88th Annual Grace Church Dog Show. Finish off your special weekend by witnessing the "Rising Stars of Camden" Saturday evening at Gallery 537.

✨ CupFest 2026…IYKYK ✨

Around 7,500 people poured onto Broad Street in downtown Camden to kickoff Carolina Cup weekend and celebrate our inaugural CupFest 🎉

With 2️⃣ stages of entertainment culminating with the legendary Mother’s Finest 🎤 on the main stage, more than 30 classic cars 🚗 on display, food 🍕 and drink 🍻 specials, local vendors and fun ⛳️ for all ages, it was a day to remember.

Thank you to our vendors and sponsors, the Camden and Kershaw County community and the visitors who traveled from far and wide to join us. YOU 💕 are why we do what we do!

‼️ World Carnivorous Plant Day at Goodale State Park has been CANCELLED due to inclement weather ‼️

A note from SC State Parks:
Due to expected inclement weather, we regret to announce that our World Carnivorous Plant Day event scheduled for May 2 at Goodale State Park has been canceled.

We’re disappointed to miss the opportunity to celebrate with our community, but the safety of our visitors, staff, and vendors must come first.

We truly appreciate the support and excitement surrounding this event, and we’re already looking forward to making next year’s celebration even bigger and better.
Thank you for your understanding, and we hope to see you at Goodale State Park soon!
