The Olad held her annual Solstice Sunrise Sail this morning. Thanks to our hardy crew and guests for waking up early to welcome the official first day of summer!

They were definitely rewarded with spectacular sunrise views!

What's more picture perfect than an island lobster bake?

We hosted a lovely lobster bake for a family visiting Maine this week. What started as a rainy, dreary morning, opened up into a beautiful, sunny afternoon with a lobster bake picnic and sail for these folks!

Lobster bakes are available for private charter mid-June through mid-September aboard our two vessels Schooner Olad and Cutter Owl.

One of the best parts of sailing the Maine coast is never knowing what wildlife you'll encounter. We often see harbor seals and their pups lounging on the ledges as we sail by. These playful residents of Penobscot Bay are a crowd favorite, especially when they're basking in the beloved "banana" pose, or poking their heads out of the water to peek at the boats cruising by.
