BRB, crying 🥹 Thank you for this post Ms. Toni…words can’t explain what it means to us! Toni Marie
Valley Little Melodies - a love letter 💜
Today was my youngest daughter’s last day of level 4 music class, she’s an official graduate! I would say she’s been coming to this studio since she was 6 months old in foundations class, but that is incorrect. She’s actually been there since before she was even born, in my belly, while coming to class with her older sister. I have been a VLM mom for 7 years now. Both of my girls have had the privilege to be taught and molded by the amazing educators here.
VLM has been so much more than a place to take my kids to learn - it’s where I vented about being overwhelmed as a first time mom to others that listened and understood because they were either right there with me or had been there too. It was where my girls made their first friends. It was where they both not only learned foundational music skills, but learned how to share, socialize, listen to others, and how to find their voice. It was where, when the world was locked down during a pandemic, I could log on with my toddler and see smiling faces, getting ideas on how to keep my child entertained and learning while stuck in the house. It was also where, when the world opened back up and we were ready, we re-socialized as a family (in our social distancing squares 😝). It was the home of our favorite holiday parties, favorite songs, favorite people, and the location of the most special one-on-one time that my husband and I both got to share with our girls. It was where my oldest daughter had her first graduation and set off confidently to preschool - as my youngest is doing just the same.
Luckily, VLM was also where I was recruited to become a Kindermusik educator - to join this amazing team and help bring the magic to families just like mine. So while I don’t plan to say goodbye to this studio anytime soon, I am writing this with gratitude in my heart as I close my chapter as a VLM Momma. 💜
