Spent the sweetest day at Rustic Rock Maple Farm in the hills of Claysville, Pennsylvania, learning the incredible journey from tree to table 🍁🥞

We got to see the whole process—how they tap the sugar maples, the intricate network of lines running from tree to tree all the way to the pump house, and then up to the sugar house where the real magic happens. Watching sap transform through so many careful steps into that golden maple syrup we all love was absolutely fascinating!

But if you ask my kids, the best part was tasting the greatest maple syrup in the whole world! You get to try any of the flavors they offer, and let’s just say we took home half the store… and we’re already planning our next trip back for more 😋

There’s something so special about seeing the care, craftsmanship, and tradition that goes into every bottle. If you’ve never visited a working maple farm, add it to your list—it’s an experience the whole family will remember 🌲✨

Had the best time at the Washington Wild Things game ⚾️✨

We got to try alllllll the ballpark food and treats, met the mascot, made some new friends, and had a total blast.

And the giant pretzel? A-mazing 🥨🔥

Such a fun summer night and definitely one of those things to do near Pittsburgh if you’re looking for something different. (Great family fun night out idea!) ⚾️

A night with the Washington Wild Things is way more than baseball. From the community spirit to the famous milk and cookies tradition, this is the kind of ball field where family memories are made. A new historic marker honoring George Washington’s former land holdings was unveiled today along the Montour Trail in Mt. Pleasant Township. 🇺🇸

The dedication, held as part of America250PA celebrations, recognizes Washington’s connection to western Pennsylvania long before he became the nation’s first president.

Thank you to the Montour Trail Council, Historic Fort Cherry, the Montour Railroad Historical Society, Rails to Trails Conservancy, and the William G. Pomeroy Foundation for helping preserve and share this important piece of local history.

Community leaders and historians gathered along the Montour Trail to unveil a new historic marker recognizing George Washington’s land holdings in present-day Cecil and Mt. Pleasant Townships as part of Pennsylvania’s America250PA celebration.
