☀️🌧️ GREEN LIGHT FOR DAIRY FEST! The 1 p.m. Parade is officially a GO!

It’s 10 a.m. on Saturday, and we have our final weather determination: All Dairy Festival Days activities are moving forward exactly as scheduled today, including our giant 1 p.m. Parade!

While we might see some light rain and passing showers throughout the day, thunderstorms are absolutely not a threat. In true North Country style, a little drizzle isn't going to dampen our spirits—so grab your ponchos, bring your umbrellas, and come celebrate with us!

🎉 What a Night!
We kicked things off last night in spectacular fashion on the Village Green:

The Big Wheel Races were incredibly spirited, featuring nearly 40 young racers tearing up the track in front of an awesome hometown crowd! 🏁

The Block Dance kept the energy soaring with a massive crowd of dancers grooving to the fantastic sounds of Steelin' Country and the Adirondack Playboys. 🎸🎻

A Surprise Highlight: The crowd was treated to a spectacular special guest appearance by fire dancer Jon Lynch, who absolutely lit up the night! 🔥✨

📅 Today's Schedule (Saturday, June 6)
The fun doesn't stop. Head downtown to enjoy the final day of the festival:

All Day: Vendor booths, food trucks, and kids' activities on the Village Green.

The Main Event: The FFA Alumni Chicken Barbecue! A true festival staple, the FFA Alumni have been serving up their famous chicken at Dairy Fest for more than 30 years. Make sure to grab a dinner and support a wonderful tradition! 🍗🔥

1:00 PM: The Annual Dairy Festival Days Parade! (Line up along the route and show our community entries some major love!)

🍦🧀 The 62nd Annual Dairy Festival Days are officially kicking off in just a few hours! 🎡✨

The weather for tonight's festivities looks great, so come on out and celebrate with us!

Looking ahead to tomorrow, we have some rain in the forecast overnight, with a chance of showers continuing into Saturday. As of right now, we are a total GO for all scheduled activities!

Because safety is our top priority—especially with so many children and floats involved in our 1:00 PM parade—we are monitoring the radar closely. We will report back right here tomorrow morning, Saturday at approximately 10:00 AM, with our final weather update and official determination.

For tonight, the coast is clear! Grab the family and join us on the Village Green for a cherished Canton tradition:

One of the signs of summer is the Dairy Festival in downtown Canton. Events start on Friday with the Canton NY Farmers Market and continue into the evening in the Village Park. Saturday is the Dairy Festival parade, celebrating the women and men who make St. Lawrence County's Dairy Industry second to none in NY State and the U.S.

Right after the little ones finish tearing up the track at the Big Wheel Races, the party keeps rolling with our annual Friday Night Block Dance from 7 to 11 p.m. on Park Street and sponsored by Coakley Home and Hardware Canton

This year, we are thrilled to feature Steelin' Country—a fantastic band packed with talented local musicians who love playing nothing but "real," classic country music. 🎶✨

🪑 Quick Tip: Attendees are encouraged to bring their own lawn chairs or seating to get comfortable, but honestly... with this setlist, you won't be sitting for long! 💃🕺

Registration: 5:30 PM | Races Start: 6:00 PM

Divisions: Ages 4, 5, and 6

The Prize: The winner of each division gets their very own BRAND-NEW BIG WHEEL! 🎁

$1 per racer (no one will be turned away).
