A bit of an emotional flight this morning. This is the very first time that Royal Fortune (FKA Tetris) has flown at Ashland BalloonFest since John Moran piloted it during his incident here in 2018. We have been trying to make this flight happen for years, and just couldn't make it work out until today. We are honored, and a bit overwhelmed, to be able to have had this opportunity. We love and miss you John! Everyone have an extra scoop of ice cream this weekend for him!

Last night a little girl and her grandpa came up to me. Asked me if I was the pilot of Sky Berry. Once I said yes, she said she had something for me and she’d be right back!
She came back a few minutes later with this for me 😍😭
She was so dang sweet! I said thank you so many times!
