🚨 BOAT RAMP & WATER SAFETY UPDATE – PLEASE READ CAREFULLY 🚨
This is a long post, but it’s packed with important info about Canyon Lake access and water safety. We appreciate you taking a moment to read and share! ⬇️

✅ BOAT RAMP #1 is now OPEN!
Thanks to a current lake elevation of 889.90 ft, we’ve FULLY reopened Boat Ramp #1 (closure elevation: 889.07 ft). Yes, that means you can launch boats from Ramp #1 again.
We’ve also made parking improvements at Ramp #1 — so look for the clearly marked spaces! 🙌
The Courtesy Dock at Ramp #1 remains closed.

❌ All other county-maintained ramps remain closed for now. Here are their closure elevations for reference:
🚫 Boat Ramp #2 – 892.28 ft
🚫 Boat Ramp #8 – 892.72 ft
🚫 Boat Ramp #6 – 894.73 ft
🚫 Boat Ramp #7 – 897.65 ft
🚫 Boat Ramp #11 – 901.60 ft

🌊 WATER SAFETY REMINDERS
• Always wear a life jacket
• Recent floods have carried debris into the lake — please use caution
• Be courteous and share ramp space with others launching or loading

🛶 KNOW BEFORE YOU GO – Know the Water Laws.
W.O.R.D. Ordinances and Comal County Orders are subject up to a $500 fine.
🚫 No foam products on the water
🚫 No glass products on the water
🚫 No open plastic containers 5 oz. or smaller on the water
🐢 No wake zones = idle speed only
🛟 Life jackets required for all children 12 & under when boating, kayaking, canoeing, or rafting
🛟 One life jacket per person on board any boat
🚫 No trespassing on private property
🚫 No littering
🚫 Public nuisance behavior will not be tolerated

We know before any boat ramp (s) open, testing will be required, so this won't be a speedy process, but nonetheless promising news for STR Owners.
