This multigenerational family is setting sail aboard the Disney Wish in January 2027 for a 4-Night Bahamian Cruise with a stop at Castaway Cay — and yes, we secured 3 Deluxe Family Oceanview Staterooms with Verandahs all in a row 🙌

Stadium Series part 2: What we ate & drank. ⚾️🍻

One thing about a baseball weekend… I’m fully committing to the stadium food experience.

Drinks first because priorities:
🍺 Iron City Light Mango - don’t ask me to drink a regular IC Light but this was easy to drink, and honestly felt mandatory while in Pittsburgh.
🍸 Wigle Surley Shirley cocktail very good and a little dangerous.
☕️ Morning coffee from the Omni William Penn Hotel before heading out for another day of baseball and exploring the city. If you sign up for the Omni rewards you’ll get a free beverage card for coffee or beer from The Tap Room.

As for the food:
🌭 Hotdogs at the ballpark because you simply cannot go to a baseball game and not get one.
🥟 Pierogis from Favs on 3rd which felt very Pittsburgh-coded and absolutely lived up to the hype.
🥂 Brunch at The Yard may have been the MVP meal of the trip. Bottomless mimosas, beignet pancakes with bacon, and their Mac Attack’s Breakfast which was every bit as indulgent as it sounds.

This trip was the perfect mix of baseball, good food, city walks, and trying local spots along the way.

Stadium Series part 1: Where we stayed.

📍Omni William Penn Hotel

This historic building opened in 1916 and is located downtown next to Mellon Square park.

It hosts an impressive 5 dining venues including a lobby bar and a taproom. With 597 rooms, 38 meeting rooms, and 4 wedding ballrooms. We even utilized the fitness center on Saturday morning prior to the game. Plenty of cardio machines, a Peloton, free weights up to 50 lbs and a handful of machines. Not horrible for a hotel fitness center.

We stayed in a Deluxe King Room which was perfect size for our quick weekend getaway.

The Omni offers valet parking for $58 or you can park your car yourself in Mellon Square. We paid $28 for a Friday afternoon arrival and a 7pm exit time after the second baseball game on Saturday.

While it was within walking distance to get to PNC Park via the Roberto Clemente bridge, I wouldn’t choose it again if you’re in town for sporting events. This location is perfect for a romantic getaway with nearby restaurants including Eddie Vs, Del Frisco’s and The Capital Grille.

The Omni was a beautiful hotel and one I would suggest again but with warning that it is a 20 minute walk to the stadium.

Introducing: The Stadium Series.

It’s no secret that I’m a baseball fan and if you ask my family I’m a traitor for being both a Phillies fan and an Orioles fan.

This weekend I checked off PNC Park and walking across the iconic Roberto Clemente Bridge.

I know how passionate sports fans are and as your travel advisor I’m here to help make some great recommendations on where to stay, eat, and drink while you follow your teams both near and far.
