Cruise Lines International Association (CLIA), the leading voice of the global cruise industry, announced today that its ocean-going cruise line members have agreed to voluntarily suspend U.S. cruise operations until at least 31 October 2020.

You can help our volunteers out by sharing this message about sea turtles and storms. Please remember sea turtles are a protected species, so do not touch a sea turtle of any size. Please leave hatchlings and eggs on the beach. If you encounter a sea turtle in need, please call the Sea Turtle Preservation Society hotline at 321-206-0646 for guidance and assistance. Thank you.

PORT CANAVERAL TROPICAL STORM ISAIAS UPDATE: The U.S. Coast Guard Captain of the Port (COTP) has set hurricane condition "ZULU" for Port Canaveral. Sustained gale force winds are predicted within 12 hours. Port Canaveral is closed and has ceased all waterside and vessel shoreside Port operations until further notice. In less than 24 hours, United Launch Alliance will send ’s Perseverance rover on a seven month journey to Mars. The launch window, opening at 7:50 AM Eastern, extends for two hours. Perseverance will land in Jezero crater located on the Isidis Planitia on Mars, in late-February/early-March 2021.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has extended a no-sail order for cruise ships through Sept. 30, 2020. This order issued today continues to suspend passenger operations on cruise ships that carry at least 250 passengers in waters subject to U.S. jurisdiction. The CDC’s previous no-sail order was set to expire on July 24.
