Our last full Alaska day is officially in the books. 🏔️💙
We started the morning bright and early—very early—with a 5:30 a.m. wake-up call (which is really 9:30 a.m. back home on the East Coast!) to experience the breathtaking Endicott Arm and Dawes Glacier. Major kudos to Captain Tony for expertly navigating Anthem of the Seas through the narrow fjord. The glacier itself was absolutely incredible—one of those rare sights that simply can't be captured in a photo. No matter how many pictures you take, being there in person is something entirely different.
From there, we continued on to Juneau for a day packed with unforgettable experiences. We visited Mendenhall Glacier, hiked to Nugget Falls, and headed out on a whale watching excursion with Juneau Tours and Whale Watch (special thanks to Captain Conner, our crew Mason & Mina, and our driver Joe for a great experience!). Along the way, we spotted two humpback whales and countless sea lions. Even more exciting, we were able to identify one of the humpbacks by its fluke pattern! His name is Kelp, and he's approximately 13 years old. 🐋
Back onboard, we enjoyed the Taste of the Mediterranean menu in the Main Dining Room before ending the evening with a celebratory toast at Brass & Bock. 🍻
Today is our final sea day before arriving in Victoria, British Columbia, and we have a few special activities and reservations planned onboard. It's hard to believe our Alaska adventure is already beginning to wind down, but we're soaking up every moment of it.
If you've ever wondered whether Alaska is worth the trip, the answer is a resounding yes. Every single day has left us speechless. ✨🏔️🚢
