Patrick Henry Living History on the Lawn

Patrick Henry will reenact his famous ‘Give Me Liberty or Give Me Death’ speech of March 23, 1775 on the front steps of historic Ker Place. Following, we invite you into Ker Place for a reception to meet Mr. Henry and view Give Me Liberty: Virginia & The Forging of a Nation. The trio Ampersand will perform music that honors the 250th commemoration of the Declaration of Independence featuring songs and tunes of the new nation. Refreshments will be available. A $10 donation is requested.

Did you know there will be a free birding festival at Kiptopeke State Park on October 17th? 🦅🦉🪶🦆

⌚️10/17 from 10am-4pm Friends of Kiptopeke State Park will be putting on the World Migratory Bird Day festival to promote research and conservation of the millions of migratory birds that funnel through the Eastern Shore of Virginia in the fall.

🪾Attendees can expect a full day of outdoor activities, including expert-guided bird walks, specialized talks about birds, youth-focused educational activities, and a charity raffle featuring premium outdoor gear. For those who preregister for free at the link, the $7 parking fee will be waived!
