I had the good fortune to join five adventurers on a seven day river float through the wilderness of Utah's Desolation Canyon. Companionship was unequalled, camp cooking was superb, and the landscapes and wildlife were a joy to the spirit.

We had a memorable trip to Montana last summer in the midst of the pandemic - four of us rented a GMC suburban, drove non stop across the country, packed our gear by mule, rode horseback 28 miles to the headwaters of a wild and scenic river, and spent 6 days paddling and camping 50 miles down the river.
