🎣 **8-HOUR RED GROUPER MAYHEM OFFSHORE!** 🔥

This family was vacationing on Sanibel and decided to spend a day offshore with us aboard the **Salty Beast** — and what a day it turned out to be!

We made the 2-hour run offshore and found the grouper ready to eat. By the end of the trip, the crew had put **10 keeper red grouper in the box** and had plenty of action along the way.

The best part? Watching the kids get in on the action and experience an offshore fishing trip they'll be talking about for a long time!

Mondays trip..

Picked up crew from north Captiva.

Grouper bite was on the slow side, lots of sharks to start the day so we pushed out a bit, ran from the one angry storm cloud ⚡️🌩️⛈️ . it fizzled out and the rest of the day was beautiful sunshine ☀️ ..hit a spot that produced a limit of red snapper, kingfish, a large shark and lost a few other big grouper to the bottom.
Kept a few for dinner..

Grouper trip was a success! Had to fight thru sharks in a couple spots but steady bite all day with some heartbreaking break offs and some stud grouper landed. Had one spot where 5 rods doubled over with nice fish only to be eaten off with 5 different sharks all going different directions.
Great solid day for this groups first time grouper fishing!
