We got TONS of park news last night at D23’s Disney Experiences panel! Here’s everything that was released!
WALT DISNEY WORLD
🟠 It was announced that the highly anticipated Monstropolis in Hollywood Studios will be opening in 2027! This land is replacing the Muppets area and will feature all of your favorites from Monsters Inc, including a theater show, a thrilling door coaster that lifts you 40 feet in 4 seconds, a Harryhausen’s restaurant just like Mike and Celia dined at, and more!
🟠 At Magic Kingdom, we received more information about the highly anticipated Villains Land. There will be an exhilarating coaster experience themed around Maleficent that runs through the briars under her castle. Imagineers will be introducing new elements never before used on similar attractions, so it’s sure to be a ground breaking ride! Also announced was a dark ride hosted by the Magic Mirror. Ride beneath the catacombs of the Evil Queen’s palace, and journey into the mystical Mirror Realm where you’ll experience all of your favorite Disney villains. No dates were announced for the opening of this new land, but construction is underway!
🟠 Also at Magic Kingdom, we received info on the new Cars-themed Piston Peak area coming to Frontierland. The first attraction will be called Ridge Run Rally where you’ll race through national parks and experience geysers, snow-covered mountaintops, and more. The second attraction is a family ride with no height limits called Miss Fritter’s Daredevil Spin-Along where you’ll experience a demolition derby!
🟠 Spaceship Earth in EPCOT will be getting a refurbishment to bring it up-to-date to today and beyond. It’s currently themed around human communication, while soon it will focus on human connection. No date was announced for closure.
🟠 Also at EPCOT, it was announced that Dreamfinder will now be featured with Figment! Dreamfinder was a whimsical dream chaser who helped bring imagination to life in the attraction Journey into Imagination with Figment in the 80’s. He was the center of the attraction then, and will finally be returning.
🟠 The Yeti animatronic is finally coming back to Expedition Everest at Animal Kingdom!
🟠 Also at Animal Kingdom, we received new info on the upcoming Tropical Americas land that’s replacing the Dinoland USA area. The new Indiana Jones attraction will feature an animatronic designed after Harrison Ford, and will be named Indiana Jones and the Myth of the Jade Serpent. The new Encanto themed attraction will be called Antonio’s Fiesta de Encanto, and is a family attraction with no height limit! You’ll cruise through Casita, eventually making it to Antonio’s door where you’ll enter and experience all of his new animal friends.
DISNEYLAND
🟣 Tomorrowland in Disneyland park will be receiving a refurbishment to bring it up-to-date. Very few details were included, but it’s something to be excited about! No date was announced.
🟣 In late Feb 2027, a new nighttime show is returning to Disneyland - “Remember…Dreams Come True”. The Magic Happens parade will also be returning next summer, along with an updated World of Color show at California Adventure.

DISNEY CRUISE LINE
🔵 We received new details on the upcoming Disney Believe ship. This stunning ship is the 4th in the Wish Class, and is themed around belief in magic, in family, in nature, and yourself. The stories onboard are all connected by the idea of believing in something fantastical! Moana will be the featured statue in the Grand Hall, with Tinkerbell on the bow and Buzz and Woody on the Stern.
🔵 Disney Cruise Line is doubling the amount of cruises sailing from San Diego, so West Coast guests will have even more opportunities to set sail!
🔵 A brand new ship class was announced to set sail in 2029. This class is sized between the newer Wish Class and the classic ships. Perfect sizing!
The future of Disney parks is looking brighter than ever! I can’t wait to see all of these updates and changes come to life!
