To the rescue! 🪶 While working to help reopen the marina, our Marina Attendant, Russ, became an unexpected hero. He spotted a young osprey under attack and unable to fly. Determined to move the bird out of harm's way, he gently wrapped it in a beach towel, placed it safely in a container, and brought the osprey to our friends at CROW - Clinic for the Rehabilitation of Wildlife, Inc. on Sanibel Island.

CROW veterinarians identified the bird as a juvenile, likely having left the nest too early. Thanks to Russ, the osprey is now receiving the care it needs and will take to the skies above Captiva and Sanibel once it has recovered.
