We had such a beautiful day celebrating our grand re-opening with an official ribbon cutting and a fun cruise around Pine Island Sound! So happy to be cruising again!!

It’s official! We have reopened! We are thrilled to welcome new and returning guests with a LIMITED cruise schedule, including cruises from Boca Grande! For the remainder of December we are open to island passholders, residents and Waters Guests only. Following the causeway’s reopening to the public, we will be open to all guests starting January 3.

We’ve missed you and can’t wait to see you! We kindly ask that you be courteous of your surroundings while visiting Sanibel Island and Captiva Island. Please give our neighboring businesses and residents the compassion they deserve as we all work to restore and appreciate our paradise.

Hurricane Ian Update: What a difference a day can make! We are happy to say after 36 days we have power! It is so amazing how hard all these linemen have worked to restore our community. We are also excited to say that McCarthy’s Marina has internet!!! Such a luxury at a time like this! Any friends & neighbors that are on Captiva and would like to use the internet please stop on over….it is Starlink and is being provided to us between the hours of 8:00-5:00. Stop in and say hi we would love to see you! 💙

Thank you for the outpouring of support and concern for us here at Captiva Cruises and McCarthy’s Marina! We have the best family, friends and guests. We are now entering one month post Hurricane Ian and it has been one of the most trying months in our history. We are happy to say that all of our staff are alive thankfully!…but unfortunately there has been a lot of personal property loss. We are a family business with the best staff and we have all rallied around to help each other as much as possible after this catastrophic storm. We have also been busy cleaning up the marina and the boats. Many of you have asked how the boats are and we are happy to say that the Adventure, Playtime and the Santiva all survived the storm with flying colors! Unfortunately our Lady Chadwick took a big hit and is going to need a lot of repair. With time we are hopeful to bring her back to great condition!

We still have no power or water McCarthy’s Marina which has been challenging. At this point anyone that had a reservation with us should have received their refund (sorry for the delay but power and internet on the mainland is unpredictable making for long frustrating days). If you have not received your refund please email: [email protected] and we will be happy to look into it.

One month post Hurricane Ian bring lots of emotions…some days are good, some days are not so good but overall we are thankful for our safety and look forward to cruising with everyone as soon as we can!

Due to anticipated impacts from Hurricane Ian, Captiva Cruises and McCarthy’s Marina will be CLOSED and all cruises canceled September 27 - 29. We will continue to assess and update our cruise schedule once conditions and vessels are safe for our staff and customers. Thank you for your understanding.
