Many have asked for more recent photos of our Island and home - post Ian.

These photos were taken in late July 2023. As you can see the vegetation is back!

And the sunrises and sunsets are as spectacular as ever!

IAN AFTERMATH: The Sanibel Causeway has been temporarily fixed. A convoy of trucks drove across the bridge Tuesday so that crews could start repairing the power grids in Sanibel and Captiva. http://specne.ws/PBke91

Congratulations Bailey’s!. So many great small businesses within walking distance in ‘downtown Captiva’.

Last week FL Senator Marco Rubio, Chairman of the Senate Committee on Small Business and Entrepreneurship, named Bailey’s General Store, on Sanibel, as the Small Business of the Week.

Great morning on the Gulf side today - while floating along we saw a manatee (yes, in the Gulf) a dolphin and a ray swim by- as if they were saying 'see you soon!'

Sunset Captiva is the only place on Captiva where you have direct Beach AND pine island sound access (with dock space available). No need to get in a car once you're here. No need to load up the family in the car for a trip to the beach.
