⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ "I just got back from my Montana retreat and all I can say is that it was amazing! This is my second retreat with Run Wild and I am already thinking of my 3rd. Our trip leader Lori is an amazing person and so motivational. The local guides were knowledgeable and inspiring. For us, this month always feels like the real new year. The season of big transitions — in life and in nature. Kids back to school, new routines, cooler mornings, and that unmistakable golden light. Campfires, toadstools, and trails that suddenly feel fresh (and a little crunchy underfoot). A runner’s dream. ✨⁠

ICELAND, THAT’S A WRAP 🥾🇮🇸🎬

No words can quite capture the quiet, the colour, the sheer vastness of Iceland. Just that deep-down feeling of being alive — and exactly where you’re meant to be (to borrow the words of our brilliant retreat leader ).

We’ve just wrapped up the most epic adventure with an incredible group of women — hiking ridgelines, wandering between steaming geysers, and dropping into deep, echoing valleys.

Massive gratitude to our star of a guide, Saga ()— warm, wise, and wildly passionate about Iceland, hiking, and sharing the magic of this place. Every moment with her is a gift.

What if joy wasn’t the reward — but the goal?⁠

Not the thing that shows up once you’ve hit the numbers or proved something. But the reason you’re out there in the first place.⁠

And the best bit: you can actually train for it.⁠

Research from UC Berkeley’s Greater Good Science Center shows that movement, mindfulness, and gratitude (yep, the stuff we do on retreat) can build joy over time — just like strength or stamina.⁠

Run Wild Retreats + Wellness offers small-group retreats that support you in learning how to better manage stress through running. Using healthy running techniques to cultivate deeper self-compassion, intentional training, confidence and self-care, you’ll come away from your experience with us with a renewed motivation and passion for running as well as timeless tools and methods for making their well-being and self-care a top priority (without the guilt!).

And if you feel you’re not quite ready for a four- or seven-day trail running adventure, you can always join the (free!) Healthy Runners’ Community to learn the fundamentals of mindful running and establish a sustainable running routine to prepare you for a live retreat.

Our Retreat Travel Specialists are always available to help you select which retreat is right for you and plan your travel. During the retreat, not only do you explore a beautiful destination on foot, you get to know local culture, dine on local cuisine and learn local heritage.
