Cedar cabin in all it's spring glory! 🌱✨💞🌞🙌🌱🌳🪻🌿 We are excited for warmer weather and watching the forest wake up in a few short weeks. Cedar cabin still has availability for the last weekend in March, Friday the 28th - Sunday the 30th, and also the first weekend in April, Friday the 4th- Sunday the 6th. Spring is so lovely and beautiful Southern Illinois. It's the perfect time to explore the Shawnee National Forest and hit the wine trail! Giant city State Park is a five minute drive from Tulipwood Cabins and has some of the most beautiful hiking in the area! We hope you come visit soon and enjoy our cabins in the woods! ... and bring your furry friend! 🐾💖

January in southern Illinois is so beautiful! If you need a quick winter getaway, Shagbark Cabin at Tulipwood has availability during the weekdays of January 18-24 and January 26-31. We are dog friendly, so bring your furry friend if you like... Dogs love our 35 acres of woods... so many smells! Hit the wine trail, visit Giant City State Park, or stay in your cozy cabin and relax. You'll love our Caldera Salt Spa hot tubs. It's so lovely to enjoy the hot tub when it's cold outside! It may be a little cold outside in Southern Illinois, but it is still SO beautiful and peaceful in these Shawnee Forest Woods. 🌲💖 Winters here are somewhat mild, which allows for really great hiking opportunities. Giant City State Park is just a seven minute drive from Tulipwood and has some stunning easy and intermediate hiking trails 🪨🥾🌲🪨. After your hike you will love the Caldera Salt Spa Hot Tub that sits on the back deck of your cozy cabin overlooking our 35 acres of forest below. On a clear night, the starry sky looks pretty spectacular through the towering branches while you are soaking in the toasty spa! We have officially been open for one year now! 💖 We are thrilled with the positive response and thoughtful, kind reviews from our hundreds of guests. January and February dates are filling up quickly. We are located just south of Carbondale, Illinois, within the boundary of the Shawnee National Forest. Our location is perfect for a quick winter getaway ❄️🍷🌲🥾💞 .. and if you love wine, even better! 💞

Shagbark Cabin as it looks now, nearing the end of summer 💖. Tulipwood has officially been open for 8 months! Since our grand opening in January, 2023, our four modern rustic cabins have hosted many visitors from all across the country, with one Shagbark Cabin guest coming from as far away as Sweden. The response to our new cabins nestled in the woods here in beautiful Shawnee National Forest has been overwhelmingly positive and supportive! We love that so many of our guests have taken the time to leave such thoughtful reviews on our websites and in our guestbooks 💖. We will happily continue to offer our guests a peaceful, lovely, private, cozy, and memorable stay here at Tulipwood! We are dog friendly, AND we have Caldera Salt Spa hot tubs! We love sharing these sweet cabins and our 35 acres of woods here in the Shawnee National Forest 🌳🌲🦃 🦌🌳🌲🥾🦉. Fall dates are filling up!.. Shagbark does still have some weekday openings during the first two weeks of October, as well as the 22nd through the 24th. This cabin accommodates up to five people.
