Carlton is going so big for the Fourth of July, we need two weekends to celebrate 🧨

Join us for a town-wide parade, live music, food, and vendors at Carlton Fun Days, June 26-27.

Then keep the celebrations going the next weekend with Fourth of July festivities across the Willamette Valley. Start the morning in downtown Carlton with the Red, White & Run 5K or the free 1-Mile Firecracker Fun Run for kids (there will be prizes for best dressed!)

Reward yourself after the run by exploring downtown tasting rooms and restaurants, many of which will be gearing up for Fourth of July specials.

Chef Kari Shaughnessy of Hayward Restaurant has earned national recognition from the James Beard Foundation, all while keeping sustainability at the heart of her work.

This is reflected in Hayward’s ever-changing menu, with 88% of produce sourced from Oregon farms. Their commitment to zero-waste practices recently earned the team a grant from the International Restaurant Coalition.

Beyond the accolades, Hayward is known for its warm atmosphere and passionate team.

"We’ve always said we want Hayward to feel like a dinner party at a friend’s house: comfortable, convivial, and unfussy, but still really, really good," says Hayward's General Manager Jules Bandy.

"We love creating menus with elements that feel a little surprising or memorable... Part of the joy of dining out is experiencing something that makes you pause for a second and think, 'wow, I would never make this at home.'"
