Doing what I Love is so Wonderful..
I get to share my Favorite Places with others.. Took a new client to Ramapo Reservation…. It’s a great hiking spot with lots to see along the many trails.. Castle ruins, Lakes, Woods, and a Fantastic view of NYC Skyline.. The Highlight of our 6 mile route was the teenage bear we met up with on the trail……
We stayed quiet and watched him, Sit , scratch himself, walk around and sit again… then he walked away on the trail in front of us!!! Was such a Spectacular Moment!

Tuesday, I got to spend the day with Kim Glaser… She wanted to go to Sam’s Point , Ice Caves area so I mapped out a 9-10...

Tuesday, I got to spend the day with Kim Glaser… She wanted to go to Sam’s Point , Ice Caves area so I mapped out a 9-10 mile Adventure exploring all the Scenic Spots as well as Historical spots in the park..
I told her how Sam’s Point got its name ; that the Ice Caves was a ‘natural ‘ amusement attraction in the 1950s and 60s with a souvenir shop at the entrance..
Plus other tidbits of history of the area!
When I design an Adventure, I want you to have the Best Day… adding the extras along the way…
I baked Oreo Banana bread for our snack breaks too!
It was an Epic day !
Weather, And Wonderful Company and A Special Place made it a Magical Day!!!

Day 2- Presi Traverse from Madison Springs hut to Lake of the Clouds hut was supposed to be our plan but Mother Nature had other plans for us!
She threw Gale Force Winds-70+mph, Sleet and Freezing rain at us!!!!
We forgo the summits to get safely where we could get off the mountain pass… Some would say we Failed but Safety of My Group is more important to me than any mountain or hike…
The mountains will always be there!!
This Storm we encountered was Not in the Forecast of the day so we were prepared for 25 mph winds, cloudy with afternoon rain..
That’s the White Mountains and Mother Nature…
You truly have to be ready for anything!
We got out safely from Mount Washington because of kindness of strangers..:

The First Presidential Traverse..
1st Day Hike- We were picked up by shuttle - Maura: At Your Service, Personal Concierge…..Comfortable and Friendly ride to our start at the Appalachia Trail Head…
We arrived and made our way up to the Madison Spring Hut… Our home for the night… Took the Valley Way trail up to the top…
We dropped our packs at the hut, rested a bit and then climbed Mount Madison which was a 0.5 mile hike behind the hut.. Clouds started to roll in and wind picked up…
Dinner was plentiful and Delicious at the hut..
We were entertained by the Croo and a geologist who talked about the rocks of the mountains…

Lights out at 9:30 pm so we could rest / recharge for Day 2… All the Goddesses did Great on the First day!🩷
