FC Charters LLC FC Charters offers inshore and nearshore light tackle fishing charters on Florida's Forgotten Coast. Chip is a third generation Florida native.

FC Charters LLC was established by Chip and Traci Leavine and grew from their love of Florida's Forgotten Coast and its amazing fishing and scenery. FC Charters offers inshore/nearshore fishing charters and custom excursions. Growing up on a lake in Florida gave Chip the opportunity to fish more then most kids should. It was there Chip developed his passion for catching fish and began learning ho

w to operate a boat. In 1987 Chip joined the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission where he served the citizens of Florida as a wildlife officer. Throughout his 28 year career with the agency, Chip received numerous awards, including Officer of the Year in 1998 and was recognized for starting several programs. During his tenure Chip promoted through the ranks and received ongoing training to include extensive training in first aid and boating operations. Chip retired from Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission in 2014. Several years prior to Chip's retirement, he and Traci began exploring and fishing Florida's Forgotten Coast. During that time, Chip was given the opportunity by a friend and mentor to operate a larger boat, which he continued to do after his retirement. Chip's passion for seeing others catch fish continued to grow and in 2016 they founded FC Charters LLC.

Our “Kids on the Coast” event was a big success! We were able to take 24 children with disabilities out fishing. Thanks to all of you who volunteered. So gracious were the people who donated their time and vessels. We can’t say enough about the professional captains that gave up the possibility of a paycheck to help us. We had so many friends volunteer, thank you.

Thanks also to those of you who donated, you know who you are. What a pleasure teaming up with Lanark Boat Club to host the event. The event would not have been possible without the generosity of Joe Simonds and the Salt Strong Fishing Club.

This is one of those events where you planned to bless and end up being blessed. We are already thinking about the next one.

Hunter sat down and interviewed Capt Johnnie Candle Professional Angler and Sport Fishing Communicator . Johnnie helps us during the winter. The first time I fished Johnnie it was easy for me to see how he became so successful as a guide and a tournament fisherman. Of all the people I have fished, Johnnie stood out by his ability to adjust to make himself successful. Johnnie developed the skill to fish any water successfully. He is an excellent teacher and an expert on sonar electronics. He is only down here until the end of January and will return next winter. I suggest if you want to learn about fishing various bodies of water or electronics you try and book a trip with him. Take a listen and learn.
