Don't forget... tomorrow, Tuesday, Sept. 22nd is the last day to get your registration & money in for the Scarecrows on the Square 🍁🍂event for this Sat. Sept. 26th at 10am-Noon. Judging of the scarecrows will take place starting at Noon. The Carrollton Fraternal Order of the Eagles Ladies Auxiliary 2185 will have a fundraiser bake sale 🧁🥧🍰🍪at the Gazebo on the square during our hours of 10am-Noon to help offset the cost of the July 4th Fireworks. 🎆
Deli On The Square will be open for breakfast 🥚🥓🥞Saturday morning from 9am-Noon. Please come out and help support some community events, local organizations and businesses!
The CVB / Chamber office is open 8am-4pm Monday through Friday. Hope to see everyone Saturday morning! 😀

This Saturday- September 19th there are "Big Doings" at the McCook House in Honor of America 250 🇺🇸 and it starts with the community planting a tree at 9:30am; 🌳 kids' activities like face painting and kite building, an oversized community puzzle to assemble, bands to entertain, 🎶 guest speakers, and a picnic at 12:30pm (that you must pack and bring for yourselves) but the drinks and dessert are on us. 🎂
Everything will end around 2pm. They will have apple butter available to sell from the Mill. We have a canopy and plenty of table and chairs underneath in case of rain! 🌧 But you are always welcome to bring your own lawn chairs. Please come out and see a part of History happening this Saturday!

Discover the Women of the American Revolution! 🇺🇸

Please join The Ashton House Museum for “Betsy Ross and the American Flag: Fact vs. Fiction” on Friday, September 18th at 11:00 AM!

Presented by Helen Skinner, this special program explores the life and times of Betsy Ross along with the fascinating stories of other often-misunderstood women of the Revolution, including Sybil Ludington, Deborah Sampson, and Molly Pitcher.

☕ Light refreshments will be served, and guests are invited to enjoy a FREE tour of the Ashton House Museum following the program. This event is fun for all ages!

🚪✨ OHIO OPEN DOORS IS COMING TO CARROLL COUNTY! ✨🚪

Join us September 10–20 as we celebrate Ohio Open Doors with special tours, local history, and opportunities to explore some of Carroll County’s historic treasures!

🏛️ FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 11 | CARROLL COUNTY COURTHOUSE
Go behind the scenes of the historic Carroll County Courthouse with special guided tours at:

⏰ 9:00 AM & 3:00 PM
Tours last approximately 60–90 minutes and are FREE and open to the public!

Please enter through the courthouse’s main side entrance, proceed through security, and meet behind the security desk.

Guests may also visit the courthouse during its regular open days and hours throughout Ohio Open Doors, but must remain in public areas unless participating in a guided tour.

After the morning courthouse tour, head over to the Ashton House Museum at 11:30 AM for a special Betsy Ross-themed tour!
