While New York is a popular place to visit, a half day at the 911 Memorial is a must see for every American in my opinion.

Abby West went with us and she wanted to read each person's story. It struck me that those of us that watch it unfold, saw the story happen in real time before our eyes. We were in a classroom hundreds of miles away from NYC but all of us remember where we were. My friends who taught in Long Island had even a much more personal experience that I cannot fathom.

Her generation was too young. So while she of course knew about it, a visit to the site itself made it as real for her as for all of us.

If you have never been to the memorial and the museum attached to it, I encourage you to do so. That site alone is worth the trip.

JUST ANNOUNCED!

🚨🎄 NEW: Jason Kelce is coming to EPCOT this holiday season!

Disney has revealed the 2026 EPCOT Candlelight Processional celebrity narrator lineup, and Jason Kelce is joining the tradition for the first time on December 8 & 9! He’s one of several new narrators this year, alongside Robin Roberts and Lacey Chabert.

The Candlelight Processional returns to the America Gardens Theatre during the EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays, bringing together a 51-piece orchestra, the Voices of Liberty, a celebrity narrator and a choir of more than 150 Disney Cast Members and community singers for the retelling of the Christmas story.

Performances take place nightly at 4:45 PM, 6:30 PM and 8:00 PM, and Candlelight Processional Dining Packages will be available to book beginning October 14 for guests who want a meal and reserved seating.

🚨🚢 NEW: Disney Cruise Line is sailing to Bermuda from Florida in 2028!

Disney Cruise Line is adding a special 8-night Disney Fantasy sailing from Fort Lauderdale to Bermuda, departing March 18, 2028. The cruise will sail roundtrip from Port Everglades and feature an overnight visit to King’s Wharf, Bermuda.

But Bermuda isn’t the only highlight! The itinerary also visits BOTH of Disney Cruise Line’s private destinations in The Bahamas Castaway Cay and Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point. That means one sailing combines Bermuda with two Disney island destinations! 🏝️✨

The sailing will be part of the Disney Fantasy’s first season sailing from Fort Lauderdale, with the ship scheduled to homeport there from December 2027 through April 2028.
