HerrinFesta Italiana has been bringing people together since 1991, and it all started as a celebration of Herrin’s deep Italian roots. What began as a way to honor heritage and community has grown into one of the biggest events in the region.

With support from our friends at Banterra Bank and in partnership with Visitsi , we spent the night soaking up that classic HerrinFesta magic.

Whether it’s your first time or a yearly tradition, this is one of those events that makes you feel like summer has officially arrived.

Explore with Banterra Bank// Paducah Edition
✨Looking for the perfect day date or creative escape? Paducah, KY is closer than you think:
▫️ About 1 hour 15 minutes from Carbondale
▫️ About 1 hour from Marion
▫️ Just 20 minutes from Metropolis
Here’s how we spent the day:
🎨Wandered the Lower Town Arts District, where galleries, studios, and artist-run shops overflow with creativity. even gave us a surprise behind-the-scenes tour of their beautiful studio!
🎨Explored the downtown riverfront with its bustling shops, scenic streets, and a vibrant weekday vibe. We were surprised to see how bustling it was on a Tuesday!
🎨Grabbed a patio lunch at
🎨Wrapped things up with a stop at an an adorable plant shop + café serving up great coffee, curated eats, and lush vibes.
💕Paducah blends creativity, charm, and culture, perfect for a Southern Illinois day trip that feeds the soul. Special thanks to Banterra for sending us on this day adventure, and helping us show the beauty of these communities.
