The last stop of my Euro summer was the Amalfi Coast in Italy! Between wandering the colorful streets of Positano, exploring charming Amalfi and Ravello, and soaking up the views from the water on our boat tour, every moment felt like a postcard come to life. 💙

In honor of celebrating FOUR years as a Travel Advisor, I thought now would be the perfect time to re-introduce myself!

My name is Calyn and I’m the face behind High Tide Travel Company. Travel has been my passion since high school when I took my very first international trip. I’ve been hooked ever since! High Tide was born from that love of adventure, and I get so much joy from helping my clients create seamless, unforgettable trips.

Some quick facts about me:
✈️ I love all things travel. Whether it’s an island escape, theme park, historic town, big city, or all-inclusive resort, I’m in!
💍 I’ve been married for a year to my husband, David. He’s my favorite travel partner and the reason most of my photos look amazing!
🌴 Greece and Mexico are tied for my favorite destinations.
📅 I always have at least one trip booked (usually more…).
💻 I spend way too much time checking flight prices and deals, so my clients don’t have to!
🐾 I’m also a high school Animal Science teacher and currently in grad school.
📝 Organization is my superpower. I live by my schedule and to-do lists, which comes in handy when planning seamless trips for my clients.
😬 I HATE flying (ironic, right?).
🎄 I collect Christmas ornaments on every trip.

Thankful for the chance to return to Greece for more island hopping! Currently on a quaint island only accessible via ferry and staying in the cutest seaside villa. 🇬🇷

Let’s talk about the real star of the trip… the food 😍🍴

Barcelona totally delivered when it came to flavor. From wandering through colorful food markets to joining a super fun food tour, I got to try so many local bites!

Some highlights? Fresh and flavorful paella, crispy-on-the-outside churros dipped in rich chocolate, and a new favorite: Xuixo (a sugary, creamy pastry dream). Every meal felt like a celebration.

If you’re a foodie or just love trying new things, Barcelona needs to be on your list. There’s something unforgettable about eating your way through a city like this!
